Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring prior travel assignment history and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool unit within a hospital setting
• Floats across multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 48-hour work weeks accepted for interested candidates

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• AHA or RQI issued certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience floating to a variety of ICU units highly desired
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must pass a competency test within 24 hours of consideration, with 2 attempts allowed
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support across multiple ICU units as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties are not eligible
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period may result in termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling allowed
