Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring current IL licensure and prior Level 1 Trauma Center ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU and Step-Down ICU units of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
• Cares for critically ill cardiovascular, neurological, and coronary care patients
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating to Step-Down ICU required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards and policies
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians
• Documents care according to established standards
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provides clinical guidance and support to other units in the patient's care journey
• Applies critical thinking to ensure patient safety and appropriately escalates concerns
