Job Details:
- Years of experience required: 1.5 years ICU experience required. Prefer 1.5 years MICU. If less than 2 years, Level I experience is required. - Must have experience in a 20+ bed ICU. - First-timers accepted: Yes - Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS - Pending License accepted: Yes - Must pass Relias EKG exam. Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required. - Required skills: Accessing/Managing Ports*, Arterial line management, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade*, Continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, Emergency Medications, GI surgery, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Infection Prevention, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring*, Starting and maintaining IVs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Ventilator Management. - Preferred skills: CRRT experience, Swanz, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, Proning, MTP- Level 1 Rapid Transfuser. - Charting system required: EPIC - Trauma Level I experience preferred. - Must be competent in caring for patients on CRRT via NxStage. - Must be familiar with special procedures such as pressor support, ETT, Trachs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care, sterile technique: line insertion, paracentesis, bedside trach placement, chest tubes, broncoscopy, phlebotomy. - Screening if missing any required skills.
