Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care Unit Utah. This travel assignment provides 12-hour day shifts in an intermediate care setting with a 1:4 patient ratio. The role includes floating as needed, weekend coverage, electronic charting, and care for patients requiring telemetry and progressive-care interventions.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week; weekend coverage is required.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of nursing experience; travel experience required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; electronic charting experience; state or compact nursing license in hand at submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Patient ratios are 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include cardiac telemetry, care of ventilated patients, central line and chest tube management, blood product administration, high-flow nasal cannula management, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, insulin protocol management, cardiac drip management without titration, noninvasive airway management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and rapid response or code team participation.
  • The care team is supported by physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
  • Required onboarding core items and laboratory work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
