Job Summary Infection Control Specialist, Infection Control This contract position is based in an acute care hospital with a MAGNET designation. The role involves working independently to support infection prevention efforts, utilizing your expertise to ensure compliance with standards and protocols. The assignment is scheduled to run until May 2027, with flexibility on time off requests due to the long-term nature of the contract.
Job Details
Certifications, Education, and Experience: CIC (Certification in Infection Control), at least 1 year of relevant experience, degree in Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or a related health science field, and current licensure if applicable.
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
Additional Requirements: Experience with Epic charting system preferred; must be open to contract duration until May 2027.
Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance infection prevention strategies independently, monitor compliance with infection control guidelines, and support ongoing education initiatives. The role does not necessitate being an RN but requires proven infection prevention experience, with consideration for House Supervisors possessing relevant background.
