Job Summary

Physical Therapist Inpatient. The Physical Therapist provides care to inpatient populations with orthopedic, postsurgical, neurological, trauma, cardiac, and medical-surgical conditions. The role includes collaboration with rehabilitation support staff and may involve coverage across assigned clinical areas.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, typically 8 hours per shift, totaling 40 hours per week; scheduling may include Thursday through Monday.
• Required Qualifications: Current physical therapy license in the applicable state; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience and trauma experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Inpatient caseloads may include orthopedic, postsurgical, neurological, trauma, cardiac, and medical-surgical patients.
  • Patient volume may reach up to 13 patients per day, depending on the assigned area.
  • Rehabilitation aides and therapy assistants may support the department.
  • Department-specific orientation is typically approximately 1.5 days and may include training on the electronic charting system.
  • Holidays are not required; weekend requirements may vary by assignment.
  • Required attire includes a maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, and closed-toe shoes; a lab coat is optional.
