Job Details
Position Description: Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) working days on an 18-bed rehab unit with a daily census of 8-9 patients. Responsible for evaluations and treatments related to swallowing, language, and cognitive impairments in adult and geriatric populations.
Required Qualifications: Valid Kansas or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, valid Allied license if submitting to allied job, BLS certification, at least 1 year of experience as an SLP, and knowledge of relevant assessments and procedures.
Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: The role involves working in a facility that serves adult and geriatric patients with neurological diagnoses such as stroke and Parkinsons disease. The speech caseload includes 10-14 patients daily, with opportunity to perform evaluations and treatments for swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits. Orientation includes 24 hours of training.
Submission Requirements: Must include valid Kansas or Compact RN license, allied license if applicable, and RTO (Request for Time Off) must be listed at the time of submittal.
