Description:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist will work with a team of interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons.
The role is primarily based in the operating room.
There are multiple interventional radiology rooms available for procedures.
Common procedures include cerebral angiography, stroke intervention, and various biopsies.
The technologist will use fluoroscopy, CT, or ultrasound for interventions.
Responsibilities include performing venous access procedures such as port, dialysis, and central lines.
Other tasks involve performing gastrostomy placements and managing various drains.
Experience with contrast, special procedures, and biopsies is required.
Call is required, with an expectation of 5-7 days per month.
Travelers should be ready to float to other units as required.
All staff should adhere to safety and sterile techniques during procedures.
Preferred experience includes working with C-Arm, ablative procedures, and kyphoplasty.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Candidates should be prepared to handle a high volume of cases efficiently.
