Description:
The Interventional Technologist I assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat various conditions, defects, and diseases without surgery.
This position is designed for those gaining experience in interventional radiology or invasive cardiology.
The technologist will assist providers in performing a variety of procedures, including cardiac catheterization, angiography, biopsies, and pain management.
Utilization of specialized radiologic equipment and techniques is required to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures.
It is essential to ensure that procedures are conducted safely, adhering to quality standards with a focus on patient-centered care.
Preparing patients for procedures and providing comfort during the process is a critical responsibility of this role.
The technologist will act as a scrub tech during procedures and must maintain a strict sterile field following safety protocols.
Responding to patient and family inquiries with clear information regarding diagnostic testing and result timelines is expected.
Collaboration with team members is essential to provide exceptional patient care.
Post-testing quality reviews must be conducted to ensure all requirements are documented and meet departmental standards.
Performing quality control checks and maintaining equipment according to guidelines is part of the job.
The position involves providing on-call clinical coverage outside of regular shifts, including nights and weekends.
