Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Certified Laboratory (IRL) professional sought for a facility located in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves providing specialized interventional vascular procedures within a hospital or medical center setting. The role requires comprehensive experience in vascular procedures, including scrub, circulate, and monitor skills, with a preference for cardiac catheterization laboratory experience. The assignment will begin on August 24, 2026, and requires candidates to be available for a schedule of 8-hour shifts, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week. Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours/week
  • Required Qualifications: 12 years of current interventional vascular/IR laboratory experience; experience in a hospital or medical center setting supporting operating room procedures; vascular procedure experience; Iowa Radiology license highly preferred (consider licensing candidates with varied issuance timelines); current or prior experience supporting operating room procedures; current ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification required; ARRT (CI or VI) or RCIS/CCI certifications highly preferred; valid drivers license required; BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ARC highly preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience; peripheral vascular experience; current or prior cardiac catheterization laboratory experience; current Iowa Radiology license.
  • Additional Information: The position involves scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during vascular procedures, primarily within a vascular and interventional radiology setting. Call schedule involves every third evening and every third weekend, with additional on-call responsibilities. Candidates must support the facilitys operational duties, including potential holiday work. Submission requires clinical interview pre-screening with a 405 area code contact. Orientation dates include 8/17, 8/24, 8/31, and 9/8.
  • Note: Call back pay is at 1.5x with a minimum of 2 hours; on-call pay is $9/hr; charge/precept pay is $6/hr; billable overtime applies after 40 hours per week.
