Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring 3+ years of experience and NRP certification.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 6 LDR beds
• Patient ratio of 1:1 or 2:1
• Cares for antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum patients over 20 weeks gestation
• Night shift, 7p-7a
• Floating required to post-partum or nursery units
• No call requirements
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 48-hour guaranteed shifts and blocked schedules cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment
• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provides shift-based nursing care throughout antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
• Utilizes the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrates critical thinking and leadership in planning safe deliveries
• Delegates patient care priorities and supervises assigned personnel
• Maroon scrubs provided
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local travelers not accepted
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
