Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NRP certification; pending certification accepted
• AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Charting system experience required
• Strong clinical skills in obstetric and maternal-newborn care
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• First-time travelers welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal status and support external fetal monitoring
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries
• Circulate for C-sections and support C-section recovery
• Perform antepartum and triage assessments for obstetrical patients
• Manage labor support interventions including anticoagulation and antihypertensive therapies as ordered
• Maintain central lines and support advanced maternal care needs
• Use critical thinking and teamwork to deliver excellent patient outcomes
• Float to like units within scope as needed, based on facility needs
