• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880–$1,980
• Weekend Requirement: 4–6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 request
• Scrubs: Provided

Job Requirements

• 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with charting systems required
• Current RN license in New Mexico or compact license accepted prior to start
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required; pending certifications may be accepted
• Ability to care for both neonates and adults in a Labor & Delivery setting
• Comfort with a patient ratio of 2:1
• Eligible to work in a travel nurse role and complete required compliance items on time

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Support antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum care
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and high-risk deliveries as needed
• Circulate for C-sections and support recovery following C-sections
• Perform fetal monitoring, including use of external fetal monitoring systems
• Complete sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients
• Manage common L&D therapies such as anticoagulation, antihypertensives, and insulin drips when indicated
• Maintain central lines and follow infection control and PPE precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient patient care
• Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
