Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive experience with high-risk obstetrical care, including 4 operating rooms for cesarean sections
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care clinic patients
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• 6-month travel assignment with orientation provided (36-40 hours)
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Washington RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 3-5 years of Labor and Delivery experience in high-risk, high-acuity environments required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic electronic charting system experience required
• Must be proficient in circulating for cesarean sections (hard requirement)
• Must be experienced in newborn care including Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration, newborn assessments, and functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery (hard requirement)
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and heparin administration
• Current supervisory references and proof of required certifications must be provided with application
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities as needed
