American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 13-week assignment. Every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period with potential for one call-off per pay period. May float to similar units as needed.

Highlights:

  • High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
  • Comprehensive unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms averaging 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 high-risk antepartum and induction patients
  • Charge experience preferred or training provided for charge responsibilities
  • Epic charting system with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience
  • Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

  • Current Alaska RN license or ability to complete application within 48 hours of signing (license must be in hand for final offer; pending licenses accepted for initial submission)
  • Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
