Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Schedule may alternate between nights and days every 4 weeks based on facility needs.

Highlights:

  • 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
  • High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms, averaging 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 high-risk patients
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Epic charting system with 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Charge experience preferred or training provided for charge responsibilities
  • Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

  • Active Alaska RN license (must be in hand for expedited offer; pending licenses accepted for initial submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
  • Ability to float to similar units within scope as needed
