Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience in postpartum and circulating for C-sections required
• Triage experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NRP certification
• STABLE certification, taken at least once
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to titrate drips in accordance with unit protocols
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, team-based Women’s Services setting

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and stable antepartum patients
• Support elective and medical inductions of labor
• Circulate for C-sections and assist with OR-related workflow on the unit
• Monitor and manage fetal status using established fetal monitoring standards
• Titrate medications such as Pitocin, magnesium, and other ordered drips per protocol
• Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to appropriate like units within the valley when needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
• Deliver patient-centered care in a unit with strong clinical support and consistent staffing resources
