Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a CA state license and Advanced AWHONN certification.

Details

• Acute care Magnet-designated hospital setting
• Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required between like units
• Uses Epic charting system
• Block scheduling accommodation per manager discretion

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (must be in hand, no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN
• LA City Fire Card required, obtained within the last 30 days
• Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care within a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit
• L/D and OR scrubs provided; any scrub color accepted
• Free parking available on-site
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing under 50 miles from the facility are considered local
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted at time of application to avoid delays in the offer process
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state health system as needed
