Schedule: 48 Hours/Week (36 Hours option available)
Patient Ratio: 1:2

Float Required: Yes, to like units within scope as needed

Position Overview:

Job Duties:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients throughout the childbirth process.
• Perform fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal examinations, and obstetrical triage to assess maternal and fetal well-being.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, C-sections, and post-anesthesia recovery.
• Administer IV medications, antihypertensives, anticoagulants, insulin drips, and other obstetric therapies.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Requirements:

License: Active RN License (NM or Compact License accepted; pending accepted before start)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
Other Requirement: Experience with fetal monitoring, obstetrical triage, C-section circulation/recovery, and IV therapy.

Unit Details:

Unit: Labor & Delivery (5070-5092)
Patient Ratios: 1:2 (Days/Nights/Weekends)
Patient Population: Adult Obstetric Patients & Neonates
Patient Diagnoses: Laboring patients, antepartum complications, high-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, postpartum recovery, and obstetric emergencies.

Choice of Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) – 48 hours/week or Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) – 36 hours/week schedule available.
