Job Summary for L&D RN (Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse):
- Location: Pacific Campus, Pavilion for Women and Children (less than 1 mile from Colby Campus)
- Unit: Comprehensive maternity services, Level II NICU
- Start Date: ASAP
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First-time Travel Nurses: Accepted
- Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
- Weekends: Required
- Floating: Required (to Postpartum)
- Call: Not required
- Local Candidates: Not accepted
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Must be included at submission
- Guaranteed Hours: May be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2-week period
- Patient Population: High-risk perinatal care
- Unit Details:
- Level III maternity unit
- 19 labor & delivery beds
- 10 antepartum beds
- 30 postpartum beds
- 3 operating rooms
- 2 PACU
- 7-bay triage
- Delivery Volume: Prefer experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries/year (will consider 100-200 with screening)
- Staffing Ratios:
- Labor: 1:1
- Postpartum: 1 RN : 3 couplets (with CNA support)
- Antepartum: 1 RN : 2-3 patients
- Triage: 3 RNs/shift
- Support Staff:
- 2 Surgical Techs (day & night)
- 3 CNAs/shift in Postpartum
- 3-4 Delivering providers 24/7
- 2 CRNAs 24/7
- 2 Health Unit Coordinators 24/7
- Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
- Total Beds (for both campuses): 571
- Scrub Color: Any (except reddish orange)
- Charting: EPIC
- Parking: Facility paid
Med Ninjas Job ID #19223. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
