Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) in Issaquah, WA. This position involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The role requires expertise in managing obstetric patients, including routine and high-risk pregnancies, with responsibilities spanning from assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries to postpartum recovery.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in Labor and Delivery, current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications, valid state license (compact license accepted), experience with postpartum and neonatal care including thermoregulation and glucose management, proficiency in charting systems (Epic), and prior experience in obstetric units.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating between facilities, familiarity with obstetric and neonatal protocols, and strong discharge teaching skills for parents.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between closely related maternal and neonatal units.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include blood and blood product administration, managing epidural, PCA, and syringe pumps, wound vac application, postpartum re-admission care, and normal newborn assessments. The candidate must be available to work various operational procedures, including OB-GYN surgeries and postpartum care.
