Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care within the Labor and Delivery Department, supporting high-risk and routine obstetric cases. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focusing on maternal and neonatal health during night shifts.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid compact license, minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, certifications including BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, with ACLS preferred
Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting with high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, postpartum care, and working with electronic fetal monitoring systems such as Epic
Skills: Administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, epidural anesthesia, managing insulin and magnesium sulfate therapies, use of special equipment like epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and wound vacs, sterile vaginal exams, triage, and use of intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) and PCA pumps
Patient Diagnoses: Support for labor, preterm labor, GYN surgeries, postpartum, and neonatal care
Additional Information: Candidates should have experience in a Labor and Delivery setting, be flexible to float to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set, and be prepared to work during major holidays with up-front scheduling requests. Prior experience working at a healthcare provider offering services in obstetrics is preferred.
