Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse opportunity in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care in a Labor and Delivery Department, with responsibilities including attending all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and supporting various obstetric procedures. The role offers a comprehensive clinical environment where the nurse will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission; at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; certifications including BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and ACLS (preferred)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blood and blood product administration, high-risk obstetric cases, epidural and PCA pumps, wound vacs, and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) skills
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP
- Skills: Assistance with high-risk delivery, circulating for C-section, epidural anesthesia, GYN surgeries, obstetric triage, use of intrauterine pressure catheters and IV pumps, postpartum care, sterile vaginal exams, teaching hospital experience
- Additional Information: The position requires flexibility to float between postpartum and NICU units based on skill set. Candidates must be willing to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays. A minimum of one year of experience is required, and the role is limited to subbing to one facility at a time within a 50-mile radius.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to inquiries about past employment at Providence facilities, provide 2 references covering the last 3 years, and attest to willingness to float as needed.
