Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care position requiring an active NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC/Skilled Nursing experience.

Details

• Work in a state/government-run long-term care center offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• Care for a resident population that includes Alzheimer's and dementia patients
• Cart RN role in a 300-bed facility with resident ratios of 1:18-20
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• Every other weekend required upon center request
• Charting is done using PointClickCare (PCC)
• No floating between units required
• Overtime is not routinely available and would require case-by-case approval

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration with no license hits allowed
• Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• PointClickCare (PCC) charting experience required
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability required
• Must be flexible with scheduling needs and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including accurate and safe medication passes
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition and complete timely, accurate documentation
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies and supervise CNAs on assigned units
• Scrub attire consists of any solid color with closed-toe shoes
• Free parking is available on-site
• Once offered, shift and RTO cannot be changed
• Orientation occurs every two weeks and cannot be missed; start dates align with this schedule
• Holiday RTO will not be approved during travel assignment and must be arranged directly with the center after starting
• Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours' notice
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
