Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility role requiring 2 years of experience and an active MN RN license.

Details

• Post-acute care setting within a 51-bed long term care/skilled nursing facility
• Patient population primarily includes dementia and geriatric diagnoses
• Staffing ratios are 2 nurses per day shift and 1 overnight nurse
• Uses Point Click Care (PCC) as the charting system
• 13-week assignment with a 36-hour per week schedule
• Shift options include 8s and 12s across days and nights (6a-6:30p, 6p-6:30a, 6a-2:30p, or 2p-10:30p)
• Every other weekend required
• Charge nurse responsibilities required
• No on-call or call-back requirements

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to residents with dementia and geriatric diagnoses in a long term care setting
• Location-specific orientation includes 2 hours with the LEAD team followed by 1-2 shifts on the floor with another staff member
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday, including Labor Day
• Candidates must reside within an 80-mile radius or utilize facility housing to qualify for travel rates
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
