Join our team as a Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) at a leading acute-care hospital in Rio Rancho, NM. This is a contract position that requires flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a float pool nurse, you will work across various Med Surg units, adapting to the needs of the facility while ensuring the best outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float to Med Surg units and Med Surg boarders in other departments.
• Provide care for patients with diverse medical needs, including feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, and blood product administration.
• Perform essential nursing tasks such as starting IVs, managing central lines, and conducting phlebotomy.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and provide non-invasive airway management as needed.

Requirements:

• New Mexico RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience.
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekends on, 3 weekends off (dependent on balancing the schedule).
• No locals accepted within 100 miles.
