Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Wilson, NC, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Meditech proficiency on a 12-hour day shift schedule.

Details

• Work setting is a Joint Commission accredited, 294-bed acute care hospital located in Wilson, NC
• Unit placement on the 3rd or 5th floor Med/Surg units, each with 22 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including surgical recovery, peritoneal dialysis (PD) exchanges, psychiatric conditions, and housing-related concerns
• Patient ratio of 6:1, up to 7:1
• Telemetry equipment is used on the unit
• EMR is Meditech; experience is required
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as a second nurse to Telemetry and ED
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Orientation is offered on a bi-weekly schedule
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Wilson, NC is approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, offering proximity to major universities, Lake Wilson, and the NC coast
