Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel position requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications and 1-2+ years of experience.

Details

• Acute care Medical/Surgical unit in a 95-bed Joint Commission-accredited hospital
• 19-bed unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Patient population is primarily geriatric and adult, with occasional pediatric cases (3-4 per year)
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotating every other weekend, with potential for additional weekends based on need
• Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech stationed at the Med/Surg nurses' station
• Uses Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo bedside monitors, CareView, telemetry, Sara Stedy, and ARJO lift equipment
• Charts using Medhost EHR
• Floating required to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER units, including low-level Med/Surg overflow patients in ICU at a 1:3 ratio
• On-call responsibilities may apply depending on census

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1-2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
• Certification or licensure required to work as an RN or LPN/LVN in Tennessee

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a combination Medical/Surgical unit
• Any scrub color accepted except print scrubs
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
