Job Requirements

• Current and active Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Comfortable working with patient ratios up to 1:7
• Ability to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
• EPIC experience preferred
• Adaptable, dependable, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• Care for patients with CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, AKI, urosepsis, and post-operative conditions
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to evolving clinical needs
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies according to unit protocols
• Support heparin infusion titration based on lab results and physician orders
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, monitor techs, and the broader interdisciplinary care team
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain clear communication throughout each shift
• Float as needed based on census and unit needs
