Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 1+ years of MS/Tele experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work on a Medical Surgical Combination unit at a Level III Trauma Center
• MS/Tele specialty serving patients of all ages
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend work required
• Call requirements as needed
• Floating as needed with possibility to float to similar med/surg units
• Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Uses Meditech EHR system

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1+ years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• IV insertion skills required
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients of all ages
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrub color is flexible, but casual attire is not acceptable
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel position
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
