Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg and Telemetry at a leading acute-care hospital in Baltimore, MD. This is a contract position for a Night shift, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. We are looking for dedicated professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including those with neurologic diagnoses.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other units as needed based on hospital requirements.

Requirements:

• 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience is required.
• Neurology experience is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias is required and must be provided by the agency.
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
• CVA/acute stroke care and pre/post-neurosurgery experience are required.
• Experience with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury is required.
• Feeding-tube care, pre/post-hemodialysis care, and renal-failure experience are required.
• Surgical drain, wound care/wound VAC, oxygen administration, and isolation/PPE experience are required.
• Must successfully complete the Basic EKG assessment before attending orientation.

Additional Information:

• Patient ratio is 1:5.
• Every other weekend and holiday are required.
• Travelers can float to Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Telemetry units within scope.
• Locals are accepted.
• The system will auto-approve 14 days or less of RTO; no RTO is approved on hard-to-fill days.
• 3 South is a 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, a Certified Stroke Center, and a Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
