Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Assignment offered for 20 weeks to provide winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also considered

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license required in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the specialty, dated within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients on the night shift
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• PBDS assessment is waived for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Extensions may allow travelers to remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
