Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring at least 2 years of neuro tele experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Neuro MS/Tele unit within a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• Average patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Floating required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required before start date, will consider candidates with license in process given CT license processing time
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg Tele required, 1.5 years accepted if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Neuro telemetry unit experience required
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a busy neuro MS/Tele unit at a large academic medical center
• Candidates must be willing to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemptions
• RTO requests of up to 7 days can be auto-approved
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers not considered for this position
