Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• May care for patients on ventilators
• Day/Night rotating shift schedule (3x12 hours): 7:00 PM-7:30 AM or 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs, though the facility will try to honor shift preferences
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license required, must be in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty, preferably within one location
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with a passing score

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for medical/surgical telemetry patients, including potential ventilator care
• Assignment length of 20 weeks to provide winter coverage, though 13-week assignments are also accepted
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for this role
• Candidates cannot have previously worked as permanent or per diem staff at this health system within the past year
