Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience and at least one prior completed travel assignment.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a large hospital setting
• Team nursing model with a patient ratio of 1:7, supported by PCCs, LPNs, and other team members
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00), with 48-hour weeks
• Weekend availability required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• ADN degree required for this position
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible

Additional Information

• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered but must be discussed during the interview
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and will not be approved if added afterward
• Vaccinations status will need to be provided
