Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting serving adult, geriatric, and adolescent (ages 15–17, rare) patient populations
• Manage complex diagnoses including MICU, SICU surgical abdominal, neuro/cervical spine, post-operative, cardiac medical, MI, chest pain, pneumonia, sepsis, ARDS, cardiogenic shock, overdose, and post-cath patients
• Administer and monitor all pressors and sedation medications including Epinephrine, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Precedex, Cleviprex, Nicardipine, and Propofol
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including mechanical ventilators, CRRT Next Stage, IABP, and proning/pronation therapy
• Float to IMC, CSU, and lower-acuity areas within scope as needed; travelers are first to float and must be comfortable floating without restrictions
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage as scheduled; on-call is not required, though staff may be contacted to pick up shifts when core staff are unavailable

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact License at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• CPI certification – required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification – required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT Next Stage
• Experience with pronation/proning therapy
• Familiarity with IABP management
• Background in MICU and/or SICU environments
