Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring Trauma Level I experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in a Neuro/Surgical Intensive Care Unit within a Trauma Level I hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (1900-0730)
• Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Floating required to Med/Surg and ED holding, with 1:5 ratio when floating to Med/Surg
• No on-call requirements
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, including 2 years as non-travel staff at a facility
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in critical care procedures including arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, EVD, ICP monitoring, CRRT, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• 1 professional reference required within the last 2 years
• Negative Nursys license history required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to neuro and surgical ICU patients, including management of complex, high-acuity cases
• Floating assigned based on hospital census
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Requested time off must be submitted in advance and approved at the manager's discretion prior to consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Previous permanent staff at the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
