Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 5+ years preferred License: ARRT - MR Certifications: BLS required Must-Have Skills/Experience: 5 years of MRI experience. Experience in neuro, MSK, body MRI procedures. Will consider candidates with 3 years experience if they have open MRI experience. Description: Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MRI safety. Possesses positive, friendly, and outgoing personality. Focuses on excellent patient care. Physical demands include pushing/pulling up to 46 lbs of force. Ability to carry 25 lbs and grip up to 50 lbs. Requires pinch grip and climbing small steps. Engagement in reaching forward and bending for brief periods. Must maintain balance during procedures. Unit handles outpatient MRI patients averaging 15 to 16 procedures daily. Equipment includes open MRI and 1.5 MRI machines. Familiarity with electronic medical records and PACS is beneficial. Dress code requires black scrubs without logos. Unacceptable attire includes crocs or open-toed shoes.
