Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 12-week evening-shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT MR/R certification, with first-time travelers welcome.

Details

  • Community hospital setting within the MRI department
  • Serves adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma patient populations
  • Performs abdomen and pelvis imaging including female and male pelvis studies
  • Head and neck imaging including brain, face/soft tissue neck, and spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
  • Chest imaging and musculoskeletal studies including hip/bony pelvis, knee, and shoulder
  • Special imaging procedures include CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, MIP, MPR, perfusion, peripheral MRA, and T1/T2 weighted imaging
  • Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Evening shift, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM
  • No on-call requirements
  • May float within the facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • BLS and ARRT R certification required
  • ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • ARRT MR certification preferred; license required if applicable
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Skills in preparation and/or administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
  • Additional experience with NICU and phlebotomy
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
  • No schedule or shift requests permitted once contract is confirmed
  • If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
  • If three major holidays fall within the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Candidates previously employed directly with the facility must be separated for one full year before applying as a traveler
  • Full compliance required to start on time, with all compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start
