Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Olympia, Washington

• End Date: February 2, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,860
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4–6, depending on unit acuity
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic experience required
• Float Expectations: Assignment across medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency department overflow, and other inpatient areas as needed

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington or a compact license in hand, as applicable
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience required; 2 years of recent experience preferred
• Recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Previous nursing experience in the United States required
• Epic electronic health record charting experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, and oxygen delivery via nasal cannula
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations, unit workflows, and acuity levels

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple inpatient units
• Care for patients with medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency department overflow needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Manage dysrhythmias and communicate clinical changes effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Complete patient assessments, medication administration, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Float between units and adjust to changing staffing and patient-care needs
• Maintain safe patient assignments while managing ratios that may range from 1:4 to 1:6 based on acuity
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, including staffing coordination, bed flow, and general unit oversight
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues and support services to promote efficient, high-quality patient care
