Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring at least 3 years of CA acute care experience and tele interpretation skills.

Details

• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• MS/Tele float unit with potential to float to Med/Tele or TCU units (TCU ratio 1:7)
• Unit ratio of 1:5 with average census of 21 and 23 beds
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No on-call requirement
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and Fire Card
• CA-based clinical experience required
• Must pass Relias tele interpretation exam and onsite EKG competency prior to start
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
• Experience managing post-MI, cardiac cath, and cardiac surgery patients
• Experience with renal failure and hemodialysis management
• Experience with neurological conditions including CVA, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injury
• Experience with ortho trauma and total joint replacement care
• Skilled in wound care, wound vac, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen administration
