Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 or 48-hour weekly options available

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units within a large, acute-care hospital setting
  • Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned floors
  • Float within scope to various units and potentially to a sister campus location to meet facility staffing needs
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical information using EPIC electronic health records
  • Fulfill weekend shift requirements (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period) and work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)

Required Qualifications

  • Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records charting
  • Experience managing IV drips required
  • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification strongly preferred
  • Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
  • Background in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Orthopedics, Transplant, or Progressive/Stepdown Care
