Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hour per week options available | 13 or 26 week contract options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care on a fast-paced, 45-bed medical/surgical trauma unit serving hemodynamically and medically stable patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from the ICU, or admitted from surgical/procedural services
  • Manage acute and chronic needs of trauma patients, including administration of IV drips required on all floors
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
  • Float to other units within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, potentially including units across multiple campuses
  • Fulfill weekend and holiday shift requirements as defined by unit scheduling policies

Required Qualifications

  • Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system
  • Ability and willingness to float frequently to various units to meet staffing needs
  • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
  • Background in trauma, medical/surgical, or telemetry nursing in a high-acuity environment
  • Familiarity with IV drip management across multiple patient populations
