Join a leading acute-care hospital in Los Angeles, CA, as a Med Surg/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse. This contract position requires a minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience, and candidates must have California experience and be proficient in EPIC. The role involves floating to Med-Surg as needed and caring for a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.

As a Med Surg/Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for:

• Providing care to patients in a telemetry setting, including general medical surgical patients and moderate volume orthopedic surgical cases.
• Interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, including telemetry monitoring both on the unit and remotely.
• Administering blood products and managing central lines, PICC lines, and starting IVs.
• Managing cardiac drips and vasoactive drips without titration, following heparin protocols.
• Performing respiratory and thoracic procedures, including chest tube management and non-invasive airway management.

Additional requirements include:

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
• Experience with heavy orthopedic cases and total joint ortho.
• Ability to work every other weekend with no call requirement.
• Must be able to read cardiac strips and have strong cardiac monitoring skills.
• RTO must be included in the submittal, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.
