Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active RN license, standard or compact.

Details

  • Hospital-based Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
  • 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Floating required to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
  • No block scheduling accommodations available

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required, pending state licenses not accepted
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG/Telemetry course completion
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and telemetry remote monitoring
  • Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and wound care/wound vac management
  • 2 supervisory references required for consideration
  • Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required
  • Utility bill in traveler's name with matching address within the last 3 months required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
  • Manage patients with conditions such as CVA, seizure disorders, renal failure, and post-surgical recovery
  • Skills utilized may include chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and insulin drip titration
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
  • Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
  • Previous Integris employees must have a minimum 1-year separation from the health system to be eligible
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Any gaps of 3 months or more in work history must include an explanation
