Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and a compact or OK RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital environment
  • 24-bed unit with an average daily census of 24 patients
  • Patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 12-week assignment length
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Floating required within scope to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
  • No block scheduling accommodations available

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Compact or OK State) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Prior charge nurse experience preferred
  • Skilled in gastrointestinal, respiratory, genitourinary/renal, neurological, and cardiovascular care
  • Experience with chest tubes, central/PICC line management, IV therapy, and blood product administration preferred
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and rapid response/code team protocols
  • Current driver's license or state-issued ID required, along with a utility bill matching the candidate's name and address within the last three months
  • Two supervisory references required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
  • Utilize skills such as feeding tube management, BiPAP/CPAP care, tracheostomy management, and continuous bladder irrigation as needed
  • Support isolation precautions and PPE protocols
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
  • Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
  • Previous INTEGRIS employees must have a minimum of 1 year separation from the health system to be eligible
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Travel experience is not required for this position
  • Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty
