• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Openings: 2
• Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s
• Weekend/Holiday Expectation: Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required
• Setting: 28-bed elective surgery and Level III trauma unit with telemetry capability

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele or telemetry nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency with Epic charting required
• Comfortable managing a typical patient ratio of 1:7
• Ability to successfully complete required EKG testing prior to start
• Must be willing to work nights and participate in holiday coverage as assigned

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to post-op orthopedic, spinal, bariatric, colorectal, and trauma patients
• Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in cardiac rhythm and patient condition
• Manage medical-surgical overflow patients as census allows
• Support safe, efficient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Perform wound care, IV management, oxygen support, and other Med/Surg Tele nursing duties
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote positive patient outcomes
• Float and adapt to unit needs while maintaining professional standards and strong communication
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, documentation standards, and required travel documentation
