Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and one year of MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Assignment length available for 18 or 13 weeks to provide winter coverage

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with a maximum of two attempts
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, medical or religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time within the Cleveland Clinic Health System
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments capped at 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning to any Cleveland Clinic location
• Background check hits are reviewed individually, but open cases and any professional license hits will not be accepted
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• All RTO requests must be discussed during the interview and included at time of submission
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
