Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/PCU Days position requiring 3+ years of experience and flexibility across departments.

Details

• 25-bed Critical Access Hospital setting
• Combined Med-Surg Adult and PCU/Telemetry unit
• Day shift schedule
• Must be willing to flex between departments as needed

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in all areas of Med-Surg and PCU/Telemetry required

Additional Information

• Provide patient education and ensure patient safety through preventative measures such as side rails and restraints
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe equipment operation and troubleshooting in PCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg areas
• Implement infection control, isolation procedures, and standard precautions
• Maintain accurate, complete documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses
• Complete physician orders timely and perform 24-hour order checks as assigned
• Give complete and accurate shift reports and communicate effectively across departments
• Report critical lab values to physicians per policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts and general supplies
