Job Summary: The Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) registered nurse position is located in the healthcare facility in Falls Church, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized neurological critical care, supporting patients with complex neurological conditions in a busy ICU setting. The position requires adaptability and a strong clinical background to meet the needs of acute care patients.
Job Details:
Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, 2 years of ICU Neuro experience, willingness to work every other weekend, every other holiday, and potentially float to the Neuro Intermediate Care Unit. The candidate must have experience working with an 18-bed neuro ICU, patient ratios of 1:2 (flexible based on acuity), and proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system. Dress code includes navy blue pants with solid navy-blue or white tops, with the possibility of additional orientation shifts.
Preferred Qualifications: CCRN, SCRN, or CNRN certifications are preferred.
Additional Information: First to float to Neuro Intermediate Care Unit if needed. No additional operational information applies.
